Shakti is a 2011 Telugu historical fantasy film directed by Meher Ramesh starring Jr. NTR and Ileana D'Cruz.[2]
The film, produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, features an extensive supporting cast including Sonu Sood, Manjari Phadnis, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Jackie Shroff, Pooja Bedi and Tamil actor Prabhu Ganesan, was released on 1 April 2011.[3][4][5][6] A dubbed Tamil version was simultaneously released in Tamil Nadu as Om Shakthi.[7] It has been dubbed in Hindi as Ek Tha Soldier. It received largely negative reviews and was a flop as its box office earnings were considerably less than its budget. Shakti budget varies from INR67 crore (US$11 million) to INR45 crore (US$7.1 million) including marketing and print costs.
